Security Alarm

If set it is Important enter the house from the back door

Once inside you will find the alarm code keypad on the left hand side

Enter the code number into the keypad xxxx press 'yes'  Ö

 

To reset alarm when you leave -

Enter code xxxx the arm menu appears press 'yes' Ö

Then' normal set' appears then press 'yes' Ö

You have 30 secs to close and lock door.

Note that you lock door you need to hold handle up.

 

Turn on water

The mains water tap is in the downstairs cupboard, on floor level to left of the washing machine.

 

Turn on water heater

The hot water heaters are normally turned on by two switches.

Master switch on the wall outside the airing cupboard (which is upstairs above stairwell) and Economy 7 switch at the bottom of the hot water tank. (If quick heat immersion heater is needed the third switch at the top of the tank can be turned on for a while)

Heating

The cottage is heated by four night storage radiators. These run on Economy 7 and store most of their heat during the night, so take a day or so to get running.

Turn each radiator on - controls under a flap lid on the top - a label on the flap gives guidance on the level required according to the temperature outside.

 

Bedding

Make up one double and two single beds.

Bedding and duvets in main bedroom in vacuum sealed bags. Additional bedding as required in airing cupboard. Please clean , iron and return sheets to bags as before. ( they use vacuum cleaner to reseal ).

 

Fridge

Please check this is turned on and clean.

 

Fireplace.

Should be made up, remove tray to side cupboard and ensure enough wood, coal, peat for a couple of days. Clean out and reset with tray when visitors have left.

 

Store cupboard by Fireplace.

Please place all personal photos and the china hen on the mantel shelf in this cupboard and lock using key in door. Please keep key and return to lock when doing clean.

 

 

Clear up when visitors leave.

1.      Clean sheets and return where found.

2.      General clean of all rooms – check toilet paper, washing up liquid and drying towels.

3.      Fireplace – clean out and reset with tray to cover.

4.      Turn off heating except hall heater to low.

5.      Turn off water heater and fridge

6.      Leave store cupboard key ,check levels of peat/wood top up as necessary.

7.      Reset security alarm when leaving
